Welcome to Part 1 of our Planning Series!

I feel that way, too. As an architect, I’m really good at helping people design and build houses, but when I think about setting out to do it for myself, it’s scary. I think we can collectively agree that the process seems overwhelming and sometimes… out of reach.

Creating your “why”, defining your priorities, and being clear about your goals is the most crucial thing you can do at the beginning of your home building project.
It will save you money.
It will help you make decisions with confidence.
It will be a very useful reminder when things feel hard (and they will).
Your why is more than just fluff - getting clear on your home-building goals, wants, and needs will be the guiding light of your project. Understanding what your priorities are (at the beginning) will help you make informed decisions during your entire process. We want you to feel confident in those decisions - keeping your why at the forefront will help you during potential tiring and testing moments.
